A total of two interesting articles in my usual Sunday paper this week. The women’s section is as obnoxious and superficial as ever. And I buy this why??

Thank goodness I’ve read ahead (just a bit) in the Marius-Amis-Luxembourg gardens part. LM is a literary goodie bag, and this makes me love even the slower chapters.

It’s too simplistic to say that people start to believe what’s written about them. But what happens is that you become a certain way to please people, to be liked, to be what’s expected of you, to change yourself so that you become the best possible version of yourself for people who don’t know you.
